1. What's GCT's particular specialty?   Chinese translation 

GCT specializes in translating Simplified Chinese or Traditional Chinese to and from English. We do know the difference between Simplified Chinese and Traditional Chinese. Chinese translation

2. How much does GCT charge for translation work? 

GCT's rates start from 18 cents (Canadian) per word, however, if the content is technical in nature or you need the work urgently, we will charge an extra fee. Chinese translation

3. How do you count the word number for the document? 

GCT counts the words by means of  Microsoft Word, punctuation and gaps not included. Chinese translation

4. What do you mean by "free test"? 

For a written translation, GCT offers a free test translation. For a document which is more than 5,000 words, GCT will charge 18 cents (Canadian) per word for a brief test and will deduct the cost of the test if the project is accepted and completed. If the document is less than 5,000 words, the test cost is not refundable. Chinese translation

5. How long will the translation work take? 

Depending on the complexity and to guarantee quality, we can usually complete approximately 2,000 words per day for each project.  Chinese translation

6. How do you protect a client's privacy? 

Clients' privacy is important to GCT. We sign confidentiality agreements with our translators and we will also sign a confidentiality agreement with our clients if requested.  Chinese translation

7. If the document is too large to send as an email attachment, what should I do? 

GCT will personally come and pick up the document locally, or we will request that you mail or courier it to us. In this case, the client will be responsible for the mailing expenses.  Chinese translation

8. What if I don't require any translation but just want my documents to be proofread? 

GCT will gratefully accept your proofreading orders as well. Please inquire regarding the cost. Chinese translation

9. How will the finished documents be submitted back to me?  

GCT will use whichever method that is requested by the client.Chinese translation
